Ingredients:

8 oz of coconut oil
4 oz of olive oil
4 oz of palm oil
2 oz of lavender essential oil
4.5 oz of lye (sodium hydroxide)
9 oz of distilled water

Instructions:

Step 1: Start by measuring out the lye and water in separate containers. Slowly pour the lye into the water, stirring constantly until the lye is fully dissolved. Set this mixture aside to cool.

Step 2: Next, measure out the coconut, olive, and palm oils and combine them in a large pot. Heat the oils over low heat until they are fully melted and combined.

Step 3: Once the lye mixture and oil mixture have cooled to around 100-110°F, slowly pour the lye mixture into the pot with the oils. Use a stick blender to mix the two mixtures together until they reach “trace,” which is the point at which the mixture thickens and leaves a trail on the surface when you lift the blender.

Step 4: Add the lavender essential oil and continue to mix for another minute.

Step 5: Pour the soap mixture into a mold and let it sit undisturbed for 24-48 hours. Once the soap has hardened, remove it from the mold and cut it into bars. Allow the soap bars to cure for 4-6 weeks in a cool, dry place before using.
Note: It is very important to use appropriate safety equipment such as gloves, goggles, and long sleeves while handling Lye.

This is a basic recipe, you can experiment with different ingredients, oils, and essential oils, you may also add other things like dried lavender flowers, oatmeal, honey, etc.
