Yarrow (Blue) Essential Oil

The botanical name of yarrow blue oil is achillea millefolium. It is also known as milfoil. It belongs to Asteraceae family. Yarrow blue is native to moderate regions of the Northern hemisphere in Asia, North America, and Europe. Yarrow is also known as herbal militaris. It is a perennial herb with a simple stem. It can grow up to 1 m (3 ft) in height. It blends well with jasmine, lavender, clary sage, rose, sandalwood and etc. The yarrow oil undergoes a steam distillation process and one gets it from yarrow leaf flowering tops. The color of the flowers is yellow, white as well as pink. Yarrow essential oil had very high importance in Greece with multiple uses for humankind. It is considered to be one of the essential oils.
